Enroll your child in preschools by 2.5 years old.

We all know education can be very expensive, especially in cities like New York. In today’s society, its gone into a whole new level of daycare centers and preschools. Of course, if your family’s environmental standards can afford to, putting your child to school as early as possible would be ideal; even more so in the case of learning a new language, which is a very popular in many private preschools today.

But if finances are tight and we are being mindful of expenditures, how early should we start?

If budgets are of concern but yet education is held highly of importance, starting at two and a half years old would be just about right.  At the age of 2, children are developing socially and beginning to project their desires verbally. Some may be a bit behind while others may start socializing even earlier. Give or take two and a half years old to start, you’re giving the child half a year’s time to get accustomed to the school system and routines. By the time they’re 3 years old, they’re mentally ready to learn academically and flourish with their motor skills.

As this is an opinionated piece, do share your thoughts with us! It will be helpful to new moms all around.
